Garry Gullery

I have been in the industry since 1983, working for Ashman’s Roofing for 11 years until 1994 when I formed Gullery Roofing with my wife and business partner Helen. Some of my work includes service stations, bread factories, freezing works, entire rest homes, show homes, residential homes, wall cladding, large commercial buildings, butynol decking and roofing, gutters, underslung canopies, full curved barns, bull nose verandas, clip lock roofing, slate roof tiles, decromastic tiles & concrete tiles to name a few.

We moved to Queensland in 2004 for several years. I supervised for a roofing company dealing with architects and building supervisors, dealt with all the health and safety issues and roofing gangs on a daily basis before going back to self-employment and employing one other staff member for 6 years. In this time I worked on many different new buildings such as duplex, high set and low set homes, educational services and the one I am most proud of would be Emerald Lakes, known as the French Quarter, in the heart of the Gold Coast in which I fitted the roof and wall cladding. I also completed my trade cert in Australia in 2008.

On returning to NZ in 2011 I resurrected Gullery Roofing once again. I designed and developed my own edge protection system which I had certified, as I knew this was soon to become paramount in the industry.  I now employ three staff members, Chris, Hamish  and Trent. I constantly receive feedback from clients as to their friendly helpful natures and good work ethics. We are a home-based family business, therefore lower overheads which in turn rubs off in our pricing. I am still hands on and work with the boys, while Helen does the administration side. I am very passionate about my work and always like to finish each job, all be it big or small,  with the same pride I would expect if it was my own home.

I am a Licensed Building Practitioner and an accredited applicator of Ardex Butynol.

Chris Campbell

Chris, our Foreman and Licensed Building Practitioner has been with us for 6 years. He is a qualified tradesman & has sound knowledge of all aspects of the roofing industry. His work is of a high standard. He is enthusiastic and always very keen to gain further experience or qualifications in other areas to add to his trade resume. Chris will always ensure that Health & Safety for all is vital in this industry and to run a safe site for both the team and client is paramount. Chris is qualified to operate scissor lifts, boom & harness work, he holds his Class B Asbestos License and is a licensed applicator of Ardex Butynol.

Hamish Broadhead

Hamish is in his third year with us and a second year apprentice. He is very a pleasant, approachable young man who strives to do the best possible job for the client. He is confident in all areas of the trade and he maintains a good working relationship with both the team and the client.

Trent McKinlay

Trent is now in his second year with us but his fourth year in the roofing industry. He has a great attitude, good work ethics & works confidently with the team. He is extremely polite and communicates well with the clients as well as maintaining a clean, safe site.

Exciting to get a new lid on my little house, and
thanks to Gullery Roofing who did a brilliant job.
I would totally recommend these guys. I was
happy with their quote, they were happy to
keep in contact with me and knocked the whole
thing off in a day!

The property was tidy afterwards which was pretty good given that they dismantled the scaffolding at about 5:30pm as it was getting dark.

I’m really happywith the whole thing. Just want to note though, that they are flat-out busy. If you need your roof done get in contact, but be prepared to
wait. The great communication made that wait
easier for me. 😀

VB

I would like to let you know and if you could pass it on that the four young men that did our roof were fantastic, they were polite and considerate and frankly worked bloody hard.  They are a true asset to your business.

Cheers

Leanne

We wanted to thank you for your work on our roof. We appreciate your good customer service and workmanship.

Thank you

Robin and Hilary

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to the boys for a fabulous job they did out here for us and worked such long hours to get it sorted before they went home.

We were super impressed with Chris Trent & Hamish they worked fabulously as a team and cleaned up all the mess and took it away with them.

We would thoroughly recommend Gullery Roofing to anyone wanting a fabulous team to work with.

Thanks again Guys

Barb & Richard

My Thanks for a neat and tradesman-like roofing job, performed under the most miserable weather conditions.

It is gratifying to discover that there are still people in the workforce who obviously take pains to ensure that quickness does not equate with cutting corners.

Again, my thanks for a job well done.

B.T. Atwell
